Orangutans are among our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. Genetically they are about 97% identical with us. They are highly intelligent, thoughtful and humane.
Now, only to be found in Borneo and Sumatra they face extinction.

In my talk I would like to share with you:

  • Orangutan facts, including stories , why they are endangered and what is being done to help them.
  • My volunteer placement at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Sabah, Borneo.
